Angela Gheorghiu will be the star of this summer's D-Marin Turgutreis International Classical Music Festival in the southwestern Turkish holiday resort town of Bodrum. She will open the 9th edition of the festival alongside the Ankara-based Presidential Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Ramón Tebar. Romanian tenor Teodor Ilincai will also be onstage at the concert, set for the night of Aug. 24 at the Bodrum D-Marin Turgutreis Marina.

Part of the open air, free event Opera Film Festival that takes place these days in Iasi, Romania, Tosca will be screened on June 14 starting 9pm. This is the 2011 Royal Opera House production starring Angela Gheorghiu, Jonas Kaufmann and Bryn Terfel
